From R&D to production, with a free Manufacturing Readiness Check
Entry program
YAG Zero-to-One Program
From breakthrough to a product that can be built, sold and scaled
The technology works in the lab, but it cannot yet be produced at the cost, quality and volume the market demands. There is no supplier base, the product cost is unknown, and investors are asking about manufacturing readiness.
Who it is for
- Deep-tech and hardware companies after proof of concept, from Seed to Series A
- Innovation units in large companies with a new technology to turn into a product
- Investors who want to de-risk a portfolio company
- 01Diagnose2–3 weeksTechnology and manufacturing readiness assessment, gap and risk mapping, and a 90-day plan. Fixed scope and fixed price.
- 02Define1–2 monthsProduct requirements, architecture review, design for manufacturing and test, target product cost, make-or-buy decisions and key supplier selection.
- 03Build3–6 monthsFrom prototype through engineering validation to pilot production, including a quality system baseline, supplier qualification and a test strategy.
- 04Ready1–2 monthsManufacturing readiness, transfer to a contract manufacturer or an in-house line, and an operational readiness package for the board and investors.
Each phase ends with a go / no-go decision. Durations are typical and depend on the technology.

Self-assessment
Manufacturing Readiness Check
Ten questions, about three minutes. See how ready your product is to move from the lab to production, and where the biggest gaps are. Your answers stay in your browser and are not sent anywhere.
Your three biggest gaps
This is an indicative self-assessment based on your answers, not a formal evaluation. It expresses an opinion only, is not a recommendation to take any action, and any use of it is your responsibility. A Diagnose engagement provides a full assessment.
